RICE is a Danish homewares and accessories company known for our colorful melamine, handmade baskets, storage, and hand glazed tableware. If you sign up via our press login, we process your contact details such as name, email and company to enable you to utilize our press material.

Payment- and invoicing information. We collect and process your payment- and invoicing information when you make a purchase. Online payment providers. When you make an online purchase, your personal credit card and account information will be shared with our trusted online payment provider to enable us to process your payment.

Forwarding companies. When you make an online purchase, we share your name and delivery address with an independent forwarding company to enable us to deliver your purchase to your preferred location.

Marketing partners. If you have given us your explicit consent in providing you with marketing material such as newsletters, we use a number of different marketing partners to assist us.

Sharing your personal information to third party countries

If you have given us your explicit consent to provide you with marketing material, e.g. newsletters, we share your personal information with recipients outside the EU and EEA cooperation.

The recipients in question are Mailchimp, Google Analytics and Optimonster, all based in the US.

The share of personal information to countries outside the EU and EEA, is based on the decision made by the EU Commission regarding the adequacy of the level of protection in reference to the EU-U.S Privacy Shield agreement, which involves all parties. For how long do we store your Personal Information

We store your personal information for as long as required according to the above-mentioned purposes.

  • We will store personal information covered by the accounting law for a period of five (5) years from the end of the actual accounting year unless we have another relevant reason to keep them stored.
  • Personal information regarding the general warranty period will be stored for a period of two (2) years from the time the warranty period takes effect unless we have another relevant reason to keep them stored.

Personal Information that is no longer required according to the above-mentioned purposes, will be deleted or anonymized.

Security Measures

We use reasonable organizational, technical and administrative measures to protect your personal information within our organization from being destroyed, getting lost or changed, being published in an unauthorized manner and from being exposed to any unintentional access.

We use strict procedures when giving an employee access rights and the ones who have these rights, will be monitored closely by logging and supervision.

We make regular back up of our Data system and use encryption where necessary to avoid data loss.

Our organization will regularly undergo the necessary training in handling personal information.

In the event of a security breach that could potentially harm your rights, we will inform you as soon as possible.
