On 82 colorful square meters in Copenhagen, Mathilde has created a home that feels alive. She lives with her husband Mikkel and their two boys, Carlo (5) and Marli (2), in an apartment that reflects their life: colorful, vibrant, creative and never quite finished.
“Our home constantly reshapes itself – and I love that,” she says.
Mathilde has always been drawn to colors.
She uses them intuitively, combining shades freely and without rules. Colors bring her joy and create warmth and personality in her home.
Their space is personal and filled with meaningful details and patterns.

For Mathilde, everyday magic lives in the small moments: morning light in the living room, creative time at the dining table, a spontaneous Tuesday lunch or candles lit on an ordinary evening.
“Life is lived every single day. I always try to put a little cherry on top.”
Creating your own path
Mathilde blends family life and entrepreneurship, running her slow fashion brand, Odd Existence, alongside her work as a content creator. For her, work and life are naturally intertwined - and no two days are ever the same. “And then I’m a mom - which is definitely the most creative (and chaotic) job of them all.”
Odd Existence was born from a desire to create clothing with personality and soul - thoughtful pieces made to last, with respect for craftsmanship and conscious choices at heart.
