A partnership with heart
Madagascar means a lot to us. All of our iconic raffia products are handmade there, together with the same talented partners who crafted our very first raffia item back in 1998.
For us, it’s more than production. It is a long-term partnership. Life in Madagascar is not always easy, and that is why we do what we can to support stability around our partners - so they can secure jobs, income, and a safe everyday life for the many families connected to the production.
A shared project for the future
Our newest initiative with our main partner in Madagascar is a joint solar energy project. Together, we have co-financed and planned the installation of solar panels at their production site. This means greener energy and more reliable power in an area where stable electricity is far from guaranteed.
We have supported the project with everything from building plans to project management, and we stay in close dialogue about how we can continue to support our partners going forward. They are talented artisans with proud traditions, and we are happy to contribute to both their craft and their future.
