We have a soft spot for creative people who see things a little differently - and Camille Gressier is definitely one of them.
Her illustrations are full of playful details, quirky characters and unexpected little twists. The kind of artwork you want to look at twice because there is always something new to discover.
So when the opportunity came to create something together, it felt like a very natural match.
Step into Camille’s creative universe
Camille is a French illustrator and Art Director living in Paris, and co-founder of Blumenhaus.
After several years working with books and magazines in the publishing world, she now works across visual identities, print and illustration.
A lot of her inspiration comes from travel, nature and art - mixed with a good dose of imagination. The result is a colorful universe filled with curious characters, small surprises and plenty of personality.
A colorful collaboration
For our new sushi collection, Camille created a series of illustrations especially for rice.
Her playful style fits right into our love for color, fun details and products that add a little extra to everyday life. One of the illustrations also comes with a very special story.
It started with an old vase from the home of rice’s founders. A piece that has been there for years, and which caught Camille’s eye. She gave it her own twist and turned it into a new motif for the collection.
We love that kind of story. Taking something familiar, looking at it in a new way and turning it into something completely different. And now, it has found its way onto the table.
